Sirens sounded on Thursday evening in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and surrounding areas, as well as the Dead Sea region, after three waves of missile launches from Iran and Yemen within less than two hours.

Israeli Army Radio reported that “missile fragments” fell in areas around Tel Aviv following the Iranian strikes, but gave no immediate details on damage or casualties.

In a related development, the Houthi group, also known as Ansar Allah, said it had carried out its fourth military attack against Israel since joining the escalating regional confrontation last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced it had launched 55 attacks targeting Israeli settlements, forces, vehicles and military sites.

Israeli media reported that six people, including two soldiers, were injured in the missile attacks on northern areas, alongside armed clashes carried out by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, an Iranian missile directly struck the city of Petah Tikva, causing significant damage to buildings and infrastructure. The newspaper did not report any casualties from the strike.

Israel has imposed strict censorship on information related to losses resulting from Iranian missiles, including the number of missiles that landed and their locations.

In a statement, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said their forces “carried out a military operation using a salvo of ballistic missiles targeting vital Israeli enemy sites in the occupied Jaffa (Tel Aviv) area”.

He added that the operation was conducted “in coordination with our brothers in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and successfully achieved its objectives”.
